Redemption Student Ministry seeks to make disciples of students, encourage them to join together as members of the Redemption family, and mobilize students as missionaries with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Redemption Students’ Objectives are to:
- Process the Bible faithfully
- Practice their faith in Jesus
- Fellowship with other followers of Jesus
Wednesday Night Gatherings
Redemption students meet weekly on Wednesdays at Redemption Ogden for Bible Study and Fellowship. If you are a family with 7th to 12th Graders and would like to get them connected, we would love to have them join us from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM or at one of our activities.

What We Are Studying
Sermon on the Mount: A Manual for Discipleship
A disciple of Jesus is ultimately identified when they are actively following Jesus in everyday, real life situations. How do we learn to do that? In order to follow Jesus, disciples must listen to Him. Jesus taught His disciples and the eavesdropping crowds what it looks like to follow Him in His most famous Sermon on the Mount. He intended in the days to come, and in the years after His departure, that they would obey His Words out of a love for Him. In Fall 2026, students will learn what Jesus has to say about how to follow Him and be challenged to do so in real life. Students will be encouraged each week to complete a HEAR Journal on the Bible passage of study for the following week. For a HEAR Journal guide, see the section below.

- Discipleship Camp is an annual retreat opportunity for students to put down the distractions of normal life in order to focus intently on their walks with Jesus and others. More details to come soon!
- Panama Mission Trip for High School Students – July 2027
- This will be an international missions opportunity for high school students within the RFC. In Panama, student will learn how engage a culture different from their own with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They will have the opportunity to personally experience Gospel urgency around the world, participate in God’s mission, and learn what it means to be an international missionary. More details to come soon!
Example HEAR Journal
Ephesians 2:4-7
Highlight – Highlight in your Bible and/or record in the space provided verses or words that stand out to you.
“But God…” “…made us alive together with Christ…” “…by grace you have been saved…” “…in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus…” “…riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”
Explain – Describe what the text is actually saying. What is the context? Why are these verses important to what the writer is saying?
Paul has just described in the previous verses how everyone is dead in their sins and only following along with the sinful course of the world in direct disobedience to God. In verses 4-7, Paul reminds Christians that they have hope because God made us spiritually alive Jesus for no other reason than His love, grace, and mercy. No one earned God’s salvation from death, but He gives it to anyone freely in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Apply – How should these verses change your life and/or perspective?
These verses help me to remember that there is nothing that I could do to please God enough for Him to save me. I am a sinner who could only be saved because of Jesus and the grace of God. These verses should also remind me every day that no matter how bad or how good the people around me may seem, they still need Jesus to be saved from eternal death to eternal life.
Respond – Write a brief prayer to God asking for His help to be changed and committing to live according to His Word.
Lord, thank you so much for your rich grace and mercy that you have
freely given to me. Help me to always remember that you alone saved me when I couldn’t. Help me to tell someone about your salvation this week.
Parent Equipping Night
Children are an amazing gift of God that parents hold as a responsibility to steward well. Faithful parenting is about using every opportunity of life to teach your children to know and follow Jesus. That’s hard!
Parent Equipping Nights have been created for you to collaborate with other parents in Bible study, discussion, and prayer over the successes and challenges of parenting.
Parent Equipping Nights are every other Wednesday from 6:50PM-8:00PM. On the weeks that there is no Parent Equipping Night, Community Group will be held where parents will discuss the sermon text from the previous Sunday. There is something for parents to jump into every Wednesday night!
Fall 2026
In 2026, parents will be going through Effective Parenting in a Defective World. “Through meaningful notes and thought-provoking discussion questions, this study is full of practical tools and biblical advice that will guide you through the plan God has for effectively raising children despite the world they, and you as a parent, are up against. This eight session study guide includes the following topics:

- How to Prepare Your Kids to Win Life’s Biggest Battles – Part 1 & 2
