07 Jan Gospel Plus Is No Gospel at All (Acts 15:1-21)

Main Point:

When issues arise over doctrinal preferences that are unnecessary obstacles to the Gospel, we choose Gospel over preference every time.

1. Question anything that defines salvation as “unless you do.” (1)
2. Salvation is 100% Jesus’ work and 0% our effort. (9)
3. Gospel plus creates a weight on others that’s too difficult for them to bear. (10)
4. Sometimes, extrabiblical rules are used for the sake of unity of the body, but they should never be a litmus test for salvation or for the quality of Christian.
